Sri Lanka, April 23 -- The Wellampitiya Police informed the Colombo Magistrate's Court today (23) regarding the murder of social activist Dan Priyasad.

The police told the court that investigations have uncovered evidence pointing to the involvement of a father and son, identified as Bandula Piyal and Madawa Sudarshana, in the killing.

As a result, Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala issued an order prohibiting the duo from travelling abroad and instructed the Department of Immigration and Emigration to enforce the travel ban.

The court also granted a police request to obtain the suspects' telephone records.
