Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- The Court of Appeal has granted time for respondents to file objections to the petition seeking to revoke the parliamentary seat of MP Dr. Ramanathan Archchuna.

The petition, filed by Abhinawa Niwahal Peramuna Chairman Oshala Herath, was taken up today before Justices Mayadunne and M. Gopallawa.

Additional Solicitor General Sumathi Dharmawardena, representing the Secretary to the Ministry of Health, informed the court that MP Ramanathan Archchuna is a medical officer currently under suspension.
