Sri Lanka, Aug. 15 -- The Anuradhapura Acting Magistrate, Chandana Weerakoon, today ordered a private telecom company to provide a telephone analysis report.
The order seeks to identify the individual who, claiming to be a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), called the police to demand the release of the suspects.
The phone calls were made to officers from the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Anuradhapura Police Headquarters during a raid.
The police made a formal request to the court, asking for an order to obtain specific information about the individual who made the calls.
