Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- A couple has travelled by motorcycle from the Galgamuwa area in Kurunegala to Tangalle to meet with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The couple said they decided to make the six-hour journey after hearing that Rajapaksa had arrived at his Carlton House residence from Colombo.

They stated that their decision was motivated by their deep love and affection for the former President.

The couple met with him and engaged in a cordial discussion.
