Sri Lanka, Jan. 15 -- Mahara Chief Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrama ordered a couple to be held in remand custody until January 22 for the alleged killing of a woman at a hostel. The suspects include a 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both residents of Imaduwa.
The victim, 49-year-old Damayanthi Niluka, was found dead in August last year while staying in a hostel room in the Mahawatta area of Delgoda. Following an extensive investigation led by the Meegahawatta Police, the couple was eventually located and apprehended while hiding in a rented house in Ratmalana.
