Sri Lanka, Jan. 29 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority reports that 170 traders who sold rice above the control price have been charged in court following raids conducted across the island in recent days.
According to the authority, fines exceeding Rs. 6.5 million have been imposed on these traders by the relevant courts.
The authority also mentions that its raids to identify traders selling rice at inflated prices are ongoing, with additional teams deployed across the island.
