Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Constitutional Council is scheduled to meet today (03) under the chairmanship of Speaker Dr Jagath Wickramaratne at the Parliament complex.

The primary agenda for the afternoon session involves reviewing the President's latest nominee for the post of Auditor General. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has reportedly resubmitted the name of Senior Deputy Auditor General L.S.P. Jayaratne for consideration. This follows a previous meeting on January 30-the first to include newly appointed civil society members-where a final decision was deferred to allow members more time to study the nomination.
