Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa today (27) announced the names and compensation amounts of another group who received payments for houses damaged during the struggle.

Speaking in a special parliamentary statement, the minister revealed that:

Kesbewa Mayor Lakshman Perera received Rs. 69.6 million

Moratuwa Mayor Samanlal Fernando received Rs. 73,044,000

Ramesh Chanaka Fernando (son of Samanlal Fernando) received Rs. 1,888,300

W. M. Gnanawathi of No. 246, Isurupura, Nidahas Mawatha, Anuradhapura received Rs. 28 million

Dr. Jayatissa also criticized the establishment of commissions, stating that 14 commissions have been set up, costing Rs. 530.1 million, while Rs. 1,221 million has been spent ...
