Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- A director and a manager of a private company have been fined Rs. 100,000 each for issuing goods to the market with the Sri Lanka Standards (SLS) logo printed on them without authorization.
The fines were imposed on officials of a drinking water bottle manufacturing company.
The Consumer Affairs Authority stated that more than 6,800 drinking water bottles, valued at over Rs. 1 million, were seized and steps have been taken to destroy them.
