Sri Lanka, May 5 -- Sri Lanka stocks were up today, with the All-Share Price Index rising 64.95 points, to end the day at 15,916.69 points.

The S&P SL20 index also rose 26.53 points, to end the day at 4,664.82 points.

The market turnover for the day was over 1.9 billion rupees, with 103 companies contributing positively to the ASPI, while 82 companies saw declines.

Among the top positive contributors, John Keells Holdings recorded a turnover of 281.87 million rupees from 13.68 million shares traded.

Commercial Bank, Sampath Bank, PGP Glass Ceylon, and DFCC Bank also made notable positive contributions.

On the downside, Hayleys led the declines, with a turnover of 43.28 million rupees from 323,144 shares traded.
