Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Colombo North, led by Lithum Senuj, defeated defending champions Colombo South by 33 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method in the final of the Sri Lanka Cricket Under-17 Youth League Super Provincial Cricket Tournament.

The final was played recently at the Galle International Cricket Stadium. Colombo South, captained by Rehan Peiris, won the toss and elected to field first.

Batting first, Colombo North was bowled out for 164.

Santhul Wijeratne was the top scorer with 59 runs off 74 balls, including four boundaries.

Santhul and Mihindu Soysa, both from Nalanda College, put on a 55-run partnership for the third wicket.
