Sri Lanka, April 28 -- The Joint Federation of Paramedical Professionals has stated that the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) at the Colombo National Hospital has been down for the past two weeks.

According to the Federation's Secretary, Chanaka Dharmawickrama, this system failure has resulted in patients being unable to schedule radiology tests.

The Federation warns that this situation has created a serious crisis for patients requiring these diagnostic procedures.
