Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- The overall rate of inflation, measured year-on-year (Y-o-Y) by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), rose to 2.1% in October 2025, up from 1.5% in September 2025.
This information comes from the latest data released by the Department of Census and Statistics (DCS).
The CCPI for all items stood at 193.8 for October 2025, marking a slight increase of 0.1 index points compared to 193.7 recorded in September 2025.
Inflation for the Food Group climbed to 3.5% in October 2025, from 2.9% in September 2025. The Non-Food Group's inflation increased to 1.4%, rising from 0.7% in September 2025.
