Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) stated that while the National People's Power (NPP) previously defeated their team in a secret ballot, the SJB has now openly defeated the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) budget.

The MP noted that this political shift occurred within a short span of six months. Speaking to the media following the budget's defeat, he further remarked that the President must understand that votes cannot be secured by providing meals like biryani at night.
