Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- A Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) employee was arrested on October 28 by the Cinnamon Garden Police for allegedly sexually abusing a six-year-old girl by inappropriately touching her while she was riding a pony at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo.

The abuse reportedly occurred while the suspect was guiding the pony with the girl mounted on it.

The incident took place on 26 of this month when the girl and her parents visited Viharamahadevi Park.

It is reported that around 7:00 PM that evening, the girl and her older sister rode the pony in the park's small playground. After completing two rounds around the field, the suspect dropped off the older sister and went around the field again with only the younger girl.
