Sri Lanka, June 27 -- A new initiative under "Clean Sri Lanka" has commenced, aiming to reduce road accidents by enhancing public knowledge and attitudes towards road safety.

The programme focuses on instilling traffic discipline in schoolchildren from an early age and empowering school road safety circles.

Accordingly, two educational programmes on road safety and insurance were held at the University of Ruhuna and near the Matara Beach Park yesterday (26).
