Sri Lanka, July 20 -- Several people were injured today in a clash between two groups in the Moolai area of Vaddukoddai.

Reports indicate that police officers who arrived at the scene were subjected to stone attacks and had to fire warning shots into the air to bring the situation under control.

Today, villagers became involved, escalating it into a large-scale confrontation.

During the clash, a motorcycle was set on fire, and another was completely destroyed.
