Sri Lanka, July 13 -- A team of officers from Sri Lanka's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has travelled to Malaysia to investigate reports concerning the arrests of Kehelbaddara Padme and Commando Salinda.

However, a senior police official stated that it's still not definitively confirmed whether the two alleged underworld figures, reported to be arrested, are actually in Malaysia.

He added that Malaysian police have not yet officially informed the Sri Lankan government about the arrests.

The official further noted that more concrete information on this matter is expected tomorrow (14).
