Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (31) informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama that they intend to seek a further 90-day detention order for the female lawyer arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting the Gane-mulla Sanjeeva murder, after her current 72-hour detention period expires.
The investigating officer, appearing for the CID, provided this information while submitting a report on the investigations concerning Kehelbaddara Padme, a key suspect in the incident.
The CID filed a further report before the Colombo Chief Magistrate regarding the lawyer arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the Gane-mulla Sanjeeva murder, and submitted facts to the court.
