Sri Lanka, June 24 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced an investigation into the personal foreign trips undertaken by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

This was informed by the CID officials to Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura.

According to the CID, the probe is being conducted under the provisions of the Public Property.
