Sri Lanka, Dec. 30 -- A meeting between the Chinese Ambassador, Qi Zhenhong, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place yesterday (29) to discuss recovery efforts and future infrastructure development.
Ambassador Qi expressed the Chinese government's readiness to assess damages caused by the recent storm "Ditwah" and provide comprehensive assistance across various sectors.
The Sri Lankan government requested immediate Chinese support to reconstruct railway lines and bridges destroyed by recent flooding.
The Ambassador agreed to bring these urgent infrastructure needs to the attention of the Chinese government without delay.
