Sri Lanka, July 10 -- The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has responded to the new 30% tax imposed on Sri Lankan goods exported to the United States.

In a statement, the Chamber said it would support the government's efforts to address the issue.

Meanwhile, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, said further discussions on the tax rate are expected.
