Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has stated that it will announce tomorrow morning whether there will be a power cut on February 14. The decision will be based on the situation at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Coal-fired Power Plant.

The CEB also noted that work to reconnect generators deactivated after safety systems were triggered last Sunday during a nationwide power outage is nearing completion. The generators are expected to be connected to the national grid by tomorrow.

The CEB will monitor the energizing of these generators before making a final announcement on potential power cuts.

In the meantime, the CEB confirmed that power cuts are being implemented across the island today under four categories.
