Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board, or CEB, has been restructured into four companies under the provisions of the new Sri Lanka Electricity Act.

According to the Ministry of Power and Energy, these companies have been established to handle the fields of Generation, Distribution, Transmission, and National Systems

The companies are named National System Operator (Private) Limited, National Transmission Network Service Provider (Private) Limited, Electricity Distribution Lanka (Private) Limited, and Electricity Generation Lanka (Private) Limited.
