Sri Lanka, May 11 -- Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya, has handed over his letter of resignation today (11).

He assumed office as the Chairman of the CEB on the 26th of September 2024 and has approximately 40 years of experience in the energy sector.

His prior service at the CEB includes a role as the Chief Engineer-Generation Planner, in addition to holding several other positions within the organisation.

Furthermore, he was a member of the National Energy Policy Committee from 2004 to 2008.
