Srilanka, Nov. 18 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (18) ordered that the complaint filed against Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake be recalled on February 20, 2026.

The Bribery Commission filed this complaint against him for withdrawing funds belonging to the Provincial Council after a state bank refused his request for sponsorship to provide bags to pre-school children in the province, while he served as the Chief Minister of the Uva Provincial Council.
