Sri Lanka, July 18 -- The Colombo High Court has scheduled the further hearing of the case against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and two other defendants for October 28.

The case alleges that Rambukwella, during his tenure as the Minister of Mass Media in 2014, committed the offence of "corruption" by spending nearly Rs. 1 million belonging to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation for political activities.

The case was called today (18) before Colombo High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne.

Since this case had previously been heard before another High Court Judge, both the prosecution and defence lawyers agreed to continue the proceedings based on the evidence already presented.
