Sri Lanka, April 11 -- Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayaka announced that the public will be able to use debit and credit cards to pay expressway tolls starting from May 1, 2025.

He stated that the Road Development Authority (RDA) will ensure all expressway exit points are equipped to accept card payments.

As part of the initial phase of this initiative, debit and credit card payments will be accepted from today at the Kadawatha and Kottawa exit points.
