Sri Lanka, March 4 -- The body of a 56-year-old businessman, Chamli Herman Gomes, was found in his Wattala home under suspicious circumstances on February 27. He had been dead since February 19, with the cause of death determined as a fatal neck wound inflicted by a sharp weapon.
Police were alerted by a neighbor who noticed a strong odor and reported that the house owner had been missing for days. Upon investigation, authorities found the deceased near a landline phone, suggesting he attempted to make a call before succumbing to his injuries.
