Sri Lanka, July 19 -- Two individuals, a businessman and an excise officer, arrested over the shooting incident at a sports complex in Talawathugoda, have been remanded until July 30.
The order was issued by Kaduwela Magistrate Bandara Ilangasinghe.
Reports indicate that the altercation, which occurred early today, began as a heated argument between the businessman, a resident of Malabe, and the excise officer, who was in plain clothes, over a photograph.
The argument escalated into a scuffle, during which the businessman allegedly attempted to shoot the excise officer with a revolver he had concealed.
The excise officer then reportedly snatched the revolver and fired four shots at a nearby wall.
