Sri Lanka, Dec. 24 -- A severely burnt and unidentifiable body was found inside a house in the Galkanda area of Ankumbura.
Following a report from a resident regarding a fire at the property around 11:00 AM yesterday, a police team conducted an inspection and uncovered the remains.
Investigations revealed that the owner, W.C. Seneviratne, and his family recently vacated the premises to stay with a daughter in Negombo due to landslide risks caused by heavy rain.
While the fire caused extensive damage to the building, authorities have not yet determined if the incident involves foul play or self-harm.
