Sri Lanka, Dec. 13 -- Horana Chief Magistrate Chandana Kalansooriya yesterday (11) granted bail to a building construction company owner accused of defrauding a sum of Rs 3,650,000 after advertising home construction services via Facebook.

The Magistrate also ordered the suspect to repay the defrauded amount and banned him from foreign travel.

The order was issued against a 43-year-old resident of Bienwila, Kadawatha, who operated a construction firm. Police reported that the suspect had advertised on Facebook, promising to build a two-storey house for Rs 12.5 million within a ten-month period.
