Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- The British High Commission in Colombo has publicly denied inaccurate reports that its High Commissioner, Andrew Patrick, was present at a court hearing for former President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Tuesday (26).

In an official post on its 'X' account, the British High Commission stated unequivocally that "Claims that the High Commissioner attended former President Wickremesinghe's court hearing today are false."

The High Commission further advised the public to rely exclusively on its official 'X' account or the High Commissioner's own official handle for accurate information about their activities.
