Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The case filed by the Bribery Commission against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and former Chairman of the State Printing Corporation, accusing them of causing a loss to the government by using nearly Rs. 240,000 from the State Printing Corporation's funds to pay Rambukwella's personal mobile phone bill during his tenure as Minister of Mass Media, was taken up for hearing before the Colombo High Court today (18).
The hearing, held before Colombo High Court Judge Sujeewa Nissanka, saw further evidence recorded under the direction of the Bribery Commission. The court subsequently adjourned the case, ordering that further evidence be presented on June 13.
