Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed against former minister Sarana Gunawardena by the Bribery Commission be called for further hearing on October 1.
The charges allege that he caused a loss to the government by improperly acquiring vehicles on a lease basis while serving as Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board.
The case was called today (20) before Colombo High Court Judge Pradeep Abeyratne.
During the proceedings, witness testimony for the prosecution was recorded.
