Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The Bakery Owners Association has stated that while the price of bread has decreased, the prices of other bakery products will remain unchanged. The Ministry of Trade reported that the Association has agreed to reduce the price of a 450-gram loaf of bread by Rs. 10, effective from midnight today.

In addition, Prima and Serendib companies announced a reduction in the price of a kilo of wheat flour by Rs. 10, also effective from today. The Ministry of Trade confirmed that the price reductions were made following the intervention of the Minister in charge of the subject, Wasantha Samarasinghe.
