Sri Lanka, May 2 -- The Colombo High Court ordered the release on bail of a jailer from Boossa Prison who was in remand custody, accused of aiding and abetting the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa, who was killed at the Aluthkade No. 05 Magistrate's Court on March 19.

This was done on Wednesday (30).

The court ordered the release of the suspect on two personal bails of Rs. 2.5 million each, and a cash bail of Rs. 75,000.

The judge, delivering the verdict, stated that the relevant jailer, who was named as the thirteenth suspect in the murder, is being released on bail as no evidence has been uncovered linking him to the crime.
