Sri Lanka, April 28 -- A bomb scare occurred at the Russian Embassy in Colombo today (28) after a foreign national delivered a laptop and quickly departed.

The unusual circumstances prompted an immediate security response, with the Special Task Force (STF), including its bomb disposal unit, and local police from Cinnamon Gardens being dispatched to the embassy.

Initial investigations have been conducted at the scene. The Cinnamon Gardens Police are now leading further inquiries into the incident. The identity of the foreign national and the reason for handing over the laptop remain unclear at this stage.
