Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- The body of a 14-year-old boy, who died under mysterious circumstances at the Noori Estate in Deraniyagala, Kegalle, was exhumed yesterday (12) before Avissawella Magistrate Pramod Jayasekara.
The teenager died on January 2nd while at home with his mother and father.
Initial investigations by the Noori Police raised significant suspicions regarding the cause of death, leading to the arrest of both parents.
The suspects currently remain in remand custody at the Kuruwita Prison following their production in court.
On January 6th, residents and relatives of the Noori Estate held a protest demanding a formal inquiry and the disclosure of the truth regarding the boy's passing.
