Sri Lanka, April 15 -- The auspicious time for the traditional oil anointing ceremony for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year this year is set for 9.04 AM tomorrow.

The state ceremony will be held at the premises of Sri Natha Devalaya, located within the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy.

Meanwhile, Hiru TV's oil anointing ceremony will take place tomorrow at the Sri Subuthi Viharaya in Waskaduwa.

For those preparing to return to their occupations, the auspicious time to depart, dressed in gold attire, is 9.03 AM on April 17.

The final ritual of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the auspicious time for planting a sapling, is scheduled for 10.16 AM on April 18.
