Sri Lanka, Aug. 21 -- It has been reported that the Attorney General's advice has been sought regarding the no-confidence motion submitted to Parliament against Deputy Minister of Defense Aruna Jayasekara.
According to political sources, this matter was brought up at today's (21) party leaders' meeting. When opposition party leaders inquired about the motion, the Speaker reportedly stated that advice has been received from the Attorney General and sent to the Parliament's Secretariat. The Speaker added that once the report is received from the Secretariat, an update on the no-confidence motion will be provided.
