Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- The Attorney General informed the court that he could not agree to the refund method proposed by the suspected directors to compensate depositors who invested in the illegal pyramid scheme Onmax DT.
This was stated before Colombo Chief Magistrate Tanuja Lakmali when the case was taken up.
The State Counsel revealed that investigations have identified properties worth significantly more than those currently listed as defrauded by the suspected directors. He stated that the proposed payment method cannot be approved, as a proper repayment plan would require time to seize these assets and present them to the court.
