SriLanka, Jan. 27 -- The Welfare Benefits Board announced that the January allowance for beneficiaries of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Aswesuma program, along with the corresponding elderly allowances, will be credited to bank accounts tomorrow (28).

For the first phase of Aswesuma, a total of 11.235 billion rupees will be distributed among 1,415,584 beneficiary families. Additionally, the January elderly allowance for Phase 1, amounting to 3.1 billion rupees, will be credited to the accounts of 618,440 recipients.
