Sri Lanka, Dec. 17 -- The Welfare Benefits Board (WBB) has announced that the monthly allowance for elderly Aswesuma beneficiaries will be credited to bank accounts tomorrow, (18).

A total sum exceeding Rs. 3.08 billion has been allocated for this disbursement, and will be distributed among 616,346 beneficiaries who are registered under the national welfare scheme. The payments will be made directly into the specific Aswesuma beneficiary bank accounts.
