Sri Lanka, April 11 -- The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange closed at 15,526.20 points today (11), falling by 54.63 points or 0.35%, reversing the previous day's upward momentum.
The index saw a sharp dip at the opening, followed by a gradual recovery amidst volatility, but ultimately ended in negative territory. The decline was mainly attributed to weak participation from both high-net-worth and retail investors.
Top negative contributors to the index included SAMP, NDB, MAL, DFCC, and HAYL. Selective activity was observed in Diversified Financials sector counters, contributing to the day's turnover.
