Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) closed at 16,936.69 today (14), gaining 358.47 points (2.16%), while turnover surged to Rs. 4.9 billion. A similar trend was observed in the S&P SL20.
Market momentum remained strong, with price gains in Ceylinco Holdings, Central Finance Company, and Sampath Bank. High net worth and institutional investor activity was noted in Ambeon Capital, Printcare, and Ceylinco Holdings, while mixed interest was seen in John Keells Holdings, Hatton National Bank, and Sierra Cables. Retail investors were active in Waskaduwa Beach Resort, Hela Apparel Holdings, and Industrial Asphalts.
