Sri Lanka, April 24 -- The Army Headquarters has issued a statement highlighting a growing tendency for military uniforms to be used without proper authorisation in various social media sketches, songs, and short videos.

They state that this trend is causing damage to the reputation of the Army.

Whilst the unauthorised use of Army uniforms for creative purposes is against the law, the statement suggests that many individuals may be engaging in these activities out of a lack of awareness.

The Army Headquarters further emphasises that such unwitting actions are demeaning the uniform, which is worn with pride by service personnel who have sacrificed their lives and limbs for the nation.
