Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Another leak occurred in the underground fuel pipeline transporting fuel from the Colombo Port's South Jetty to the Kolonnawa storage facility today (4).

This is the second leak in less than three months, after a previous leak on March 15.

At that time, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) employees took steps to contain the leak and collect the spilled fuel.

This new leak is reported to have occurred at a site where excavations were conducted to locate a suspected fuel leak point.

Spilled fuel from the leak was observed mixing with seawater.
