Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (October 16) informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court that it expects to arrest a former Working Director of the Sri Lanka State Engineering Corporation (SEC) over with the incident where the government allegedly incurred a loss of nearly Rs. 1.7 million.
The Bribery Commission conveyed this to Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama when former SEC Executive Director and businessman Nilu Dilhara Wijedasa was produced before the court.
The case pertains to the alleged illegal deployment of SEC employees and property to renovate Sirikotha, the United National Party (UNP) headquarters, without following the due process.
