Sri Lanka, March 28 -- Agriculture Minister K.D. Lalkantha announced that the report from the recent census on animals that damage crops will be received tomorrow.

The minister stated that necessary measures will be taken to manage these animals based on the findings of the census.

The nationwide animal census, conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture on the 15th, recorded species such as skunks, monkeys, ospreys, and peacocks.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Namal Karunaratne revealed that over a million crop-damaging animals were counted in the Kurunegala District alone.
